RN - Medical Surgical/Telemetry New

Well known Acute Care facility is seeking a Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join their team.

About the Opportunity

• On Site, Hybrid, Remote: on site
• Shift: 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am
• Schedule: Full time - 3 shifts per week including every other weekend and some holidays
• Setting: Acute Care

Responsibilities included but not limited to are:

• Administer and maintain IVs, Draw Blood, work with EKGs
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
• Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Direct and supervise less skilled nursing or health care personnel or supervise a particular unit
• Provide health care, first aid, immunizations and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation in locations such as schools, hospitals, and industry.
• Perform physical examinations, make tentative diagnoses, and treat patients en route to hospitals or at disaster site triage centers.

Qualification:

• Active New York State Registered Nurse license
• 2 year of clinical Nursing experience on a medical surgical/telemetry unit
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• NIHSS Stroke Certification
• Must be able to start IVs, draw labs, monitor tele.

Preferred:

• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience
• EPIC EMR experience
